M&S trials online food delivery service

Chef's Office, Create, Inspire, Connect

Marks & Spencer has launched an online food delivery service trial at two locations in north London and Woodley, near Reading, before a possible nationwide roll out.

At M&S Camden, shoppers can get their food delivered within one and two-hour slots within a three-mile radius, while the Reading outlet has a collection-only service with a two-hour turnaround.

The food available to order includes a range of ready meals like Thai green curry and pizzas that will be delivered to the customer’s house within one hour. If customers want to add groceries like bread and milk to their order, delivery time increases to two hours.

Unlike other companies who provide a similar service, M&S food delivery service will be free, but under a few conditions – shoppers will need to be a member of the M&S Sparks loyalty scheme and also spend a minimum of £10 on their order.
