Bird & Bird, represented by Savills, has let three ground floor units at 12 New Fetter Lane in the City of London to Bel-Air, Black Sheep Coffee and Nusa Kitchen, on a 10-year lease basis.

The 14 floors of newly developed office space above will be occupied by the law firm as its UK headquarters.

The three food and beverage operators have all agreed new 10-year leases.

Following the success of its first site in Shoreditch, healthy fast food operator Bel-Air has taken a 1,032 sq ft (96 sq m) restaurant at a rent of £110k per annum.

Black Sheep Coffee will occupy a 685 sq ft (64 sq m) unit, its sixth in London, at an annual rent of £93k.

Finally, Nusa Kitchen which specialises in South East Asian cuisine, will open a 594 sq ft (55 sq m) restaurant and pay a rent of £80k per annum.

Located at the junction of Fetter Lane and New Fetter Lane, the property is opposite New Street Square where retailers include Itsu, Natural Kitchen, Oliver Bonas, Hotel Chocolat and TM Lewin.

Numerous law and accountancy firms also have their head offices in the area, including Taylor Wessing, Deloitte, Macfarlanes and DAC Beachcroft.

Oliver Green, director in the Central London retail team at Savills, commented, “We are pleased to have secured this strong line up of food and beverage operators at 12 New Fetter Lane. The lettings demonstrate the continued resilience of the City retail and leisure market, where demand is as strong as ever.”
