The Leicester and Liverpool branches of Red Hot World Buffet closed yesterday following the restaurant chain’s collapse into administration, through insolvency firm, FRP Advisory.
The Leicester restaurant, which opened in June 2014 and created 70 jobs, had benefited from a £2m renovation.
Also in trouble is the Manchester branch which, at one time, was one of the highest-grossing in Manchester, taking an estimated £140k a week, but FRP is in discussions to save this site.
There are two other branches of Red Hot World Buffet – Cardiff and Leeds. A deal has been secured for the Cardiff restaurant, and discussions with interested parties are progressing in Leeds.
